In Punggol Green Primary School, we practice the culture of mutual respect between the teachers and the students. When we discipline the students, we do not diminish the self-esteem of the students. We focus on correcting the behaviours of the students and not directing our efforts at the students, where their sense of self-worth may be affected. The words and actions we choose must make meaning, always falling back on our School’s values and Students’ Outcomes.
We always Counsel with Compassion and always seek to understand the students’ circumstances before we decide on the right approach to correct their behaviour. All teachers will do a check in with the students when we see a wrong behaviour because there might be reasons behind their behaviour that are beyond the students’ control. We also counsel with compassion to role-model for our students to emulate as future leaders with compassion in the society they will grow up in.

Learn for Life Club Activities
Our Learn for Life Club Activities on Fridays incorporate Fun Activities to inculcate Social-Emotional Competencies and Skills to our members! We also had our annual camp at the end of 2025 to mark the end of the year’s programmes and celebrate our students’ Learning and we invited parents to join in some of the games!
Peer Support Leader (PSL) Programme
Punggol Green Primary School, the Peer Support Leader (PSL) Programme has been implemented since 2022 to create a safe, caring, and inclusive school environment. Guided by the school’s values and the vision of “Every Student a Peer Supporter”, PSLs look out for the well-being of their peers and promote positive relationships among students.
Peer Support Leaders provide an additional layer of care in the school community. As peers, they are often the first to notice when someone is feeling upset, left out, or struggling. By stepping in early and alerting trusted adults when needed, PSLs help ensure that timely support is provided.
PSLs also play an important role in preventing bullying by being upstanders. They help classmates feel included, discourage unkind behaviour, and seek help from teachers when necessary, helping to keep the school a safe place for everyone.
